Free Camper Rental Agreement Template (PDF)
A camper, motorhome, or trailer combines a vehicle with a temporary living space. A written camper rental agreement helps record which vehicle was rented, the dates of the trip, and the practical expectations for its use and return.

Why use a camper-specific agreement?
Unlike a short car rental, a camper may include bedding, a kitchen, water tanks, electrical connections, and camping equipment. Without an inventory and handover notes, it can be hard to tell whether something was already damaged or missing.
What to consider including
- Vehicle registration, make, model, and identification details.
- Authorized driver details and any applicable licence conditions.
- Pickup and return times, route or permitted-use restrictions if agreed.
- Rental fee, security deposit, mileage allowance, and fuel arrangements.
- Included camping equipment, keys, appliances, and accessories.
- Existing damage, cleanliness, water and waste tank conditions, and odometer readings.
A checklist to think through for your situation. It is not a list of clauses: the blank PDF’s own sections and lines are listed above.
At pickup and return
Walk through the vehicle together. Demonstrate relevant systems and record any obvious issues. Confirm fuel level, mileage, and inventory at both ends of the rental. Check separately for vehicle registration, applicable insurance, and driving requirements.
Questions
Is a standard car rental agreement enough for a camper?
It may miss camping-specific equipment and return conditions. A camper-focused starting document lets you consider those details explicitly.
Should cleaning and waste-tank rules be documented?
Yes, if they matter to the rental. Clarify what condition is expected on return and what any agreed charges cover.
Can I change the terms in the app?
You can clone a built-in template and edit its wording, fields, participant forms, and layout before creating an agreement. Check the result against your needs and applicable local rules.
