Field library
Create fields once and reuse them in templates, forms, and catalog items.
A field is one input, such as “Frame number” or “Pick-up time”. Library › Fields shows built-in fields (ready to use, can’t be edited) and your own fields. Your fields are shared by templates, participant forms, and catalog items.
Create a field
Create (+) in the Fields list, or Create new field in any Add field sheet, asks for:
- Name and an optional Hint shown under the field.
- Icon, shown next to the field in forms and lists (not in documents).
- Type: Text, Long text, Number, Money, Date, Date range, Time, Date and time, Checkbox, Choice (one answer or several), Email, Phone, Photo, or Photos.
- Rules, checked before signing, such as Required, Maximum length, Minimum and Maximum, or Not in the past.
A field keeps its type. For another type, create a new field.
Editing and deleting
Editing a field changes it everywhere it is used. Deleting it removes it from every template, form, and item using it, including its places in the document text. Agreements already created always keep their copy.
